Rincon de la Vieja is one of the active volcanoes in Costa Rica, among its characteristics are secondary activities (solfataras, fumaroles, mud volcanoes, hot springs and others). It is a wonderful scenery with tropical flowers, stunning trees and crystal clear streams and also sloths, coatis, spider-monkeys, white-faced capuchin monkeys, peccaries, deer and around 260 birds.
